Learner Qualites

I am learning to empathise.
I'll know I can do this when I can identify a variety of ways I can show empathy to others.
One way I empathise is by seeing the emotions  of the other persons face.

We are learning to create art inspired by Don Binney. I'll know I can do this when I have created a landscape with a foreground, middle, and background.

My bird and my background are coloured using pastels and natural colours. 
Something I learned was to keep the white out of my art.

Maths Tapawha

I am learning to Order fractions with different denominators.
I'll know I can do this when I can Explain and show the order of single fractions with different denominators from smallest to largest value.


Something I learned was if I had a pizza and I ate half of it, how many pieces do you have left? I have a half of a whole.

Reading Toroa

I am learning to focus on reading for a set purpose (skimming and scanning).
I'll know I can do this when I can find the key ideas and record the key ideas.

 
Something I learned was to use the key to find the ideas!

Creative Writing - Scripts

We are learning to write scripts to create a play.

We know we are successful if our script has:
- multiple characters
- a setting
- character speech
- stage direction (in a different colour to the speech)

Once we have written our scripts we are creating the plays using Puppet Pals.

My play is called "The War"
